Dominic is in the centre of the Ecuadorian Amazon to look at a four million-strong colony of flesh- eating, venom-injecting army ants. They are a terrifying mass of insects that may be the largest ant colony ever discovered. A he makes his way there he also comes face to face with leaf cutter ants, an enormous rhinoceros beetle, a green parrot snake and a venomous Brazilian wandering spider.
