The Hotel: Season 3, Episode 2

Mark brings in a former AA Chief Hotel Inspector as he tries to take the Grosvenor upmarket. The hotel inspector books himself into the hotel undercover but word gets out, and Alison and Christian are annoyed because they don't think they should be subjected to such scrutiny. From bed sheets to chocolate biscuits, the inspector has high standards and the Grosvenor is failing miserably on all counts. He couldn't have chosen a worse time to visit: the staff have a wedding to organise and resources are stretched to the limit. Bride and groom-to-be Tracy and Ted are tying the knot in true Welsh style. Tracy's planned a fairy tale wedding but one of her guests has been helping to calm her future husband's nerves with a bottle of whisky... or two. Also checking in are Grosvenor regulars Mr and Mrs Tickle. They're on the bubbly, celebrating 50 years of marriage; at least they think it's 50 years. Jack can't quite remember when they got married and Eileen doesn't seem too bothered. She's more worried about where she left her shoes. At the end of his visit, the staff discover who the undercover inspector is, and hear a few home truths about the state of the Grosvenor.
