Intent on finding the perfect curry, Rick discovers new taste sensations and dishes, some of which, have never appeared on a British curry house menu. The series will see him exploring the ethnic influences of Calcutta, the temple food of Tamil Nadu, house-boat hospitality in Kerala, the regal cooking of Rajasthan and the indulgence of India’s gourmet state - The Punjab. He will offer viewers a feast of dishes influenced by India’s colourful history, captivating cultures and enthralling religious communities. In the final programme, Rick puts “6 of the best†recipes discovered on his travels to a panel of curry aficionados in Bradford – will they prove equally appealing to British taste-buds and prove a worthy contender to the infamous Chicken Tikka Masala?
