The case made national news when the McStay family - Summer, Joe and their two young boys - vanished from their Victorville, California home in 2010 without a trace. False leads poured in, the family car turned up in Mexico. But three years later, when their bodies were found in the California desert, a trace amount of DNA nearby led them to the likely killer.
