Alan is confronted by a woman who wants to kill the man who murdered her daughter and was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. She would like Alan to get her off in a similar fashion. Katie and Jerry try to help Joseph Washington deal with the residents of a small town he's moved to since his aquittal.
